In the recent time, my Xiaomi S50 vacuum brings me more often the error code 9, what means that the dust bin is not inserted. I can defently say this is a false alarm. Also during cleaning the error occurs. I have no interested onto by replacing the internal part to fix it, because to be honest I don’t really need this “feature”. When the dust bin is not in the robot, I’m currently emptying it, after that I will insert it again.

Solution:

The machine knows that a dustbin installed by a small metal piece inside of the HEPA filter. You can find it with a magnet going over it. The magnetic part is inside the vacuum. Please see the pictures.

You can replace you HEPA-filter in hope it will fix it or you can place a small magnet close to the metal piece and let the mechanic think all the time a dust bin is installed.
